Codes of Conduct

Coaches Code of Conduct

  • I will encourage good sportsmanship from fellow players, coaches and parents at every game and practice by demonstrating good sportsmanship.
  • I will do my best to listen and learn from my players.
  • I will not use tobacco, alcohol or illegal drugs anywhere on are in the vicinity of the playing fields.
  • I will treat my players, other players, officials and fans with respect regardless of race, sex, creed, or abilities and I will expect to be treated accordingly.
  • I shall never threaten to or physically harm or abuse any player, umpire, game official, league official or spectator at any time for any reason.
  • I will follow the safety procedures as instructed by Tracy Little League.
  • I will encourage my parents to be involved with my team in some capacity because it is important to me.
  • I will not be argumentative with game officials, trash talk opponents, or engage in abusive, harmful or unwarranted disruptions to the game.
  • I will participate in post-game cheer and handshake with opposing team.
  • I will remember that youth baseball is an opportunity to learn and have fun.

Parents Code of Conduct

  • I pledge to get my child to practice and games on time.
  • I pledge to use positive encouragement to fill my child emotional tank.
  • I pledge to reinforce the ELM Tree of Mastery with my child, E for effort, L for learning, and M for bouncing back from Mistakes.
  • I pledge to honor the game by showing respect to officials, coaches, and players. If an official makes a mistake, I will honor the game and be silent.
  • I pledge to refrain from yelling instructions to my child. I will limit my comments to encouraging my child and other players.
  • I pledge to refrain from making negative comments about any participant in Tracy Little League.
  • I pledge to always be mindful that as an adult I am a role model to our youth, and I will behave accordingly.
  • I will honor this code of Conduct in my words and actions.

Players Code of Conduct

  • I will encourage good sportsmanship from fellow players, coaches and parents at every game and practice by demonstrating good sportsmanship.
  • I will attend every practice and game that I can, and will notify my coach if I cannot.
  • I will do my best to listen and learn from my coaches.
  • I will expect to receive a fair amount of playing time, based on my enthusiasm, attendance, effort and attitude.
  • I will treat my coaches, other players, officials and fans with respect regardless of race, sex, creed, or abilities and I will expect to be treated accordingly.
  • I deserve to play in an environment that is free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol and expect adults to refrain from their use at all youth sports events.
  • I will follow the safety procedures as instructed by my manager and posted in the dugout.
  • I will encourage my parents to be involved with my team in some capacity because it is important to me.
  • I will do my very best in school.
  • I will remember that youth baseball is an opportunity to learn and have fun.
